Why my son smelled

So last week I noticed that Matt had developed a body odor. At first I just figured he was sweaty and needed a bath, then I noticed after a couple of days it had a sweet sort of, nasty smell. I went to the internet ( I don't recommend doing this) and typed it in and the first hit that came up was diabetes. He had been drinking a lot and having accidents. I just though it was attention. I took him to the doctor Monday and she said he could be constipated and sent us home with instructions for a laxative, then he had diarrhea. So now I am really starting to worry and he reallyyyyyyyyy stinks!!!!! Today I noticed what I thought was a gigantic booger in his nose so I took him inside and went to get it with a tissue and what to my surprise comes out? A piece of sponge. Then I look in the other side and sure enough way up there was another piece that I had to get out my pluckers for. I almost gagged when I smelled it. It was the smell that I have been smelling (not so sweet anymore). He had that in his nose for a week. Wouldn't you think that would hurt, not according to him. Though I should have been suspicious when I told him he had a booger in his nose and he said "no I don't." So good news is that he does not have an physical problems and no longer smells, bad news is that he is obviously immune to pain and the ability for logical thinking.
